The Music Department

Music is an integral part of the Cathedral's life and mission. Evensong is sung daily (except Wednesday) at 5:30pm and Eucharist and Mattins each Sunday Morning. In addition there are a number of special services throughout the year including Holy Week, Easter and Christmas.

There is an annual programme of concerts and recitals. The Bank Holiday Organ Recitals and Thursday Lunchtime Concerts are the regular features of the Music Programme with other events including St. Cecilia's Day and Palm Sunday concerts given by the Cathedral Choirs.

Various musical organisations and groups use the Cathedral as a venue for their concerts. Details of all musical events can be found in the Events List published by the Cathedral.
