Dear Friend, I would like to ask you to support us in our 'Chairs & Spares' appeal. Removing the pews, and replacing them with superb oak chairs is going to make our Nave look stunning; it will also give us the flexibility we need for major events, whether these be concerts or our very own Angel dinner. And these events are not just fundraisers for us - they bring people into our wonderful building for a variety of purposes, just as it would have been in the Middle Ages. That's why our folding chairs are also part of this appeal: very much needed at busy times such as the Christmas period! Finally, we are taking this opportunity also to ask for help for the less glamorous but very necessary installations of new fire, sound and security systems. BUT - most importantly is my Personal Invitation to you to come to Ripon Cathedral on Easter Sunday, 12th April 2009, to see your very own chair installed and dedicated.
