A message from Canon Barry Pyke…
“As Ripon Cathedral re-opens for public worship we would like to encourage people to come in and pray and reflect upon their experiences of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“To assist in prayer and reflection four themed prayer stations have been constructed to represent a journey through the situation. The first focuses on the NHS and those who work in health and social care. The second examines the confusion many have experienced and the not knowing what to do or what to pray. The third ponders those who have worked through the crisis to sustain our daily lives. The fourth explores schools and education especially those who have missed the ‘rites of passage’ of leaving school and going to another.
“As we take this journey we are called to pray, to reflect on our experiences and to give thanks for others who support us. Above all it is a journey of hope to new horizons and new beginnings.”
