The Adventures of St Wilfrid – A New Family Trail for our 1350th Anniversary

Discover the story of St Wilfrid, the incredible man who founded our cathedral 1350 years ago, by following our new family trail. Find pieces of the Ripon Jewel hidden around the cathedral and as you find them colour in your own picture of the Ripon Jewel to take home. The trail is free of charge and available during cathedral opening hours and runs from July 24 until October 31.

Anglo-Saxon Activity Mornings

Join us in our very special 1350th year to learn about the history of the cathedral and it’s incredible founder St Wilfrid. On Wednesday July 27 you can take part in a poetry workshop with Olivia Mulligan and make your own Ripon Jewel. On Tuesday August 9 you can dress up as a monk and make your own wooden crane. On Tuesday August 30 join us for clay pot and moonbow collage making.

All three workshops will run from 10am until 12 noon. Each workshop costs £5 per child, which includes a drink and a snack. Children must be accompanied during the sessions. Booking is essential so please email if you would like to book any of the sessions.
