We are delighted to announce that Lady Hale, President of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom from 2017 to 2020, will be kicking off a free Autumn Lecture Series which will celebrate a number of incredible women in their fields.
The lectures will cover a wide range of topics from law to history, archaeology and pilgrimage. They include:
September 30: Baroness Hale of Richmond
October 7, 14, 21, 28: Dr Emma Wells, author of Pilgrim Routes of the British Isles and Lecturer in Ecclesiastical and Architectural History at the University of York
Nov 4: Prof Joyce Hill, Emeritus Professor of Medieval Literature, University of Leeds and our resident expert on the Early Medieval.
Lectures will take place at 7.30pm. Donations are always appreciated. No need to book.
