World renowned Concert Organist Jonathan Scott will be appearing live at Ripon Cathedral in July, headlining a series of recitals currently underway as part of the Summer Organ Festival.
Jonathan’s recent performances include a solo evening organ recital from the Royal Albert Hall, London for the 2020 BBC Proms. Jonathan also has a busy international concert schedule with his pianist brother, Tom Scott, performing as Scott Brothers Duo. Their online performance videos have totalled over 40 million views and their regular online concerts during the coronavirus pandemic reached a worldwide audience of over 4 million people.
Jonathan’s programme on Thursday July 8, includes his own transcriptions of Rossini’s William Tell Overture, Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and Mahler’s Adagietto from Symphony No. 5.
The summer recitals at Ripon Cathedral have featured performances by our own celebrated musicians; Director of Music, Peter Wright, Assistant Director of Music Tim Harper and Assistant Organist Tom Coxhead.
