At Ripon Walled Garden the team has been working tirelessly to prepare and nurture the plants ready for sale. This year the plants are stronger and more wide ranging than ever. Please visit the Walled Garden to buy your bedding plants, baskets, compost and of course homemade produce.
You can also buy a take-away drink and cake and you are welcome to wander around the beautiful garden, orchard and woodland – now fully open to the public. All purchases go to supporting the work of this charity for adults and young people with learning disabilities.
The Walled Garden has been undertaking a phased return for members since November working closely with parents and carers to offer small groups time on site.
Fundraising Manager at Ripon Community Link Sarah Johnson said: “We know how vital our service is to the wellbeing of members and their parents and carers after such a challenging year. We have adapted our sites to create more classroom space as we have to operate with smaller groups to observe COVID measures. As lockdown eases and the vaccination programme is rolled out we are gradually increasing our numbers.”
