Ripon Cathedral is open

Ripon Cathedral is open with a number of measures in place to assist with physical distancing guidelines and the maintenance of public health.

  • Ripon Cathedral is open from 8.15am until around 6.30pm weekdays, 8.15am until 6pm on Saturdays and 7.45am until 5pm Sundays
  • Staff and clergy will be on hand to welcome you
  • Please help protect yourself and others by wearing a face covering when moving around the cathedral and by continuing to respect other people’s space
  • The coronavirus QR code can be scanned using your NHS COVID-19 app and hand sanitiser is provided at stations around the cathedral. 
  • We are introducing a one-way route around the building
  • The crypt is currently closed due to lack of airflow – we hope to reopen it in due course
  • Worship continues to be streamed online as well as in person: link
  • If we are busy, we may ask you to queue using social distancing floor marks

Ripon Cathedral does not receive any regular government support. We rely on the generosity of donations from our visitors to sustain this great cathedral so that we can continue to provide care and support to everyone in this community.
