Join us for a deep and enriching Holy Week and a joyful Easter celebration as we celebrate the assurance of God’s victory over sin and death in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

A great attraction over Easter is the Easter Garden. This sits inside the west front and, with flowering plants and rocks, it depicts Golgotha and the empty tomb. Download the printable guide here or scroll through the information below.

Sung Eucharist followed by the watch, 7.30pm

We find ourselves in the upper room – literally disciples with Jesus – observing him washing feet and sharing bread and wine – the gift of his body and blood at the Last Supper. Following the service, there is a vigil at an altar of repose until midnight.

On this most sacred day there is a service of music and reflection as we focus on the cross of Christ and his loving sacrifice.

The Liturgy of Good Friday, 1.30pm

On Good Friday afternoon we hold a solemn service of music, liturgy and ritual focussing on the cross of Christ.

Evening Prayer at the Pieta, 4pm

Easter Eve, 16 April

Easter Eve Vigil and Eucharist, 7.30pm

A new paschal candle, representing Christ himself and kept for special occasions, will be lit from a fire kindled outside. Christ’s light can never be extinguished.
